Well, probably like most of us, I sang.  We had music all through school, and I lived across the street from school so it was close, two blocks or so from the church.  And we had music there too.  And, at least through junior high we had it, I can’t remember if they had one choir or two choirs for the younger kids.  But, the junior high actually had a part in the service every now and then, every month or two.  Which was kind of cool.  And I sang in the choir, and I was in the band, too, in high school.  And at one point they picked out, I think it was just a quartet, might have been a couple/three more, and we went over to Dike, and it was the Tall Corn Festival.  So we were selected kids and we went over there and put on a festival.  So we rehearsed all afternoon and sang that night.  That was kind of fun.  And we would have county festivals too in both band and choir where the schools from around the county would get together in the afternoon and perform at night.  That was actually in high school where I was introduced to the Messiah Chorus and the rest of it.
