Okay, continuing with the musical theme, my treasured possession is my first guitar. I’ve always loved music. I was about fourteen years old and I worked summers, and then after school as a bus boy in Davenport at a local hotel-restaurant. And I saved my tips, sometimes that was as little as twenty five cents a day and later I earned more when I was a room service waiter. But I saved tips in a big glass jar. So I, one day I finally took that jar, full of coins, down to a local music store, and I had enough money to buy that guitar that I had been drooling over for a long time. It was a twelve-string. I had enough to buy the guitar, but not enough to buy a case for the guitar, so I walked out with just the guitar. I mostly had quarters and dimes and nickels. Took a long time to count.
